PESTOKILL PEST CONTROL SERVICES

At pestokill we offer the following Pest Control Services throughout Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.

ANT CONTROL

Ants are eusocial insects of the family Formicidae and, along with the related wasps and bees, belong to the order Hymenoptera. Ants evolved from wasp-like ancestors in the Cretaceous period, about 140 million years ago, and diversified after the rise of flowering plants. PESTOKILL are trained experts and can get rid of all types of ants.

COCKROACH CONTROL

Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattodea, which also includes termites. The scary thing is that cockroaches can carry some serious diseases. Salmonella Typhi, which causes Typhoid, has been found in cockroaches. Poliomyelitis, which causes Polio, has also been found in these insects. Cleaning up spilled foods and food debris, as well as accumulations of grease and moisture build-ups are good steps to slow the growth of a roach problem. For serious infestations, professional pest control is the best option. We provide safe treatments such as gel baits (insecticide formula that controls these pest).

PESTOKILL experts can decide the right course of action to get rid of cockroaches safely.

BED BUG CONTROL

Bedbugs are reddish brown and roughly the size of an apple seed. They infest homes, hotels and hospitals. Bites are often itchy, red and in a line. Bites usually disappear with time.

FLEA CONTROL

Flea, the common name for the order Siphonaptera, includes 2,500 species of small flightless insects that survive as external parasites of mammals and birds. Fleas live by consuming blood or hematophagy, from their hosts. Fleas mainly feed on non-human animals but can bite and infect humans. They can be difficult to remove from the home and can survive for more than 100 days without a host. Bites from fleas can trigger allergic reactions, but they will not often have a serious impact on a person’s health.

PESTOKILL inspector will first inspect your home for fleas. He will then determine and decide the right treatment for the fleas.

FLY CONTROL

Flies are insects with a pair of functional wings for flight and a pair of specialized hindwings called halters for balance.

House fly – House fly eggs are laid in almost any type of warm organic material. Animal or poultry manure is an excellent breeding medium.

Flesh fly – Female flesh flies retain their eggs within their body until they are ready to hatch. The larvae are deposited directly onto the food the immature will be eating. The life cycle for the common species can be completed in eight to 21 days.

Blow bottle flies – The blow flies and bottle flies usually have a metallic blue, green, or both colors on the thorax and abdomen. These flies are strong fliers and range many miles from breeding places. They are abundant during the warm summer months.

Filter/moth/drain flies belong to the family of flies generally called moth flies, because their scale-covered wings resemble those of a moth. They are 1/16 to 1/18 inch in length and light gray to tan.

The soldier fly is a widespread pest that occasionally becomes a problem in homes. The adult is a large fly about 1 inch long with two large, translucent areas on the abdomen.

MOTH CONTROL

Moths comprise a group of insects related to butterflies, belonging to the order Lepidoptera. Most lepidopterans are moths, and there are thought to be approximately 160,000 species of moth, many of which have yet to be described. Most species of moth are nocturnal, but there are also crepuscular and diurnal species

Mice, rats and the parasites that come with them can carry several diseases, some of which are potentially deadly to humans, like Hantavirus, Listeria, Rat-Bite Fever and Salmonellosis.

SPIDER CONTROL

Spiders are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with fangs able to inject venom. They are the largest order of arachnids and rank seventh in total species diversity among all orders of organisms.

TERMITE CONTROL

Termites are known as “silent destroyers” because of their ability to chew through wood, flooring and even wallpaper undetected. South Africa is home to two types of termites: Subterranean termites and Dry wood termites. Subterranean termites thrive in underground colonies consisting of mud tunnels or tubes, as they rely on soil to survive.

SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE CONTROL

Named after their preference to build their nests underground, subterranean termites often enter the home from areas where wood comes in contact with the ground, by squeezing through cracks as small as a business card or by using the mud tubes they construct to travel from their below ground colonies to infest wood in your home.

PESTOKILL Pest & Fumigation Services are experts in controlling termites. Treatment for Subterranean and dry wood Termites are safe and pet/child friendly.

PESTOKILL offers you a free inspection at your availability. A PESTOKILL Inspector will help you decide the best and suitable treatment for your home.

CRYPTOTERMES BREVIS (WOOD BORER) CONTROL

Cryptotermes brevis is a species of termite in the family Kalotermitidae, commonly known as the West Indian dry wood termite or the powder post termite. It is able to live completely inside timber structures or articles made of wood such as furniture without any outside source of water.

Dry wood termites generally live, feed and nest in undecayed wood which has a very low moisture content. Unlike subterranean termites, they do not require any contact with the soil in order to live. Thus, they can seriously damage movable wooden objects such as furniture.

PESTOKILL Pest & Fumigation Services are experts in controlling cryptotermes brevis (wood borer).
